God's True Rest Now

"28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matt 11:30).

When Jesus invites us to come to Him and unburden ourselves of all our sins, sickness and worthless negative emotional baggages of our past, He is calling us with an intention to share the completed work of redemption and rest. Those who believe the finished work of Christ will not try to work to please God, but they find the promises of Jesus and they will place their hands on it, will lift it up towards heaven and will say "Lord, I believe." Infact, this is what really pleases God. This will bring true rest in the souls of those who believe in their heart the word of faith and say it through their mouth (Rom 10:8, 10). Rest comes in the believer's soul tangibly because God in His pleasure always will choose to move and bring salvation to those who believe in His words and stand on it with the wings of faith. I say wings of faith because faith indeed is our spiritual wings. When we believe His promises firmly in our heart, the wind of the Holy Spirit will blow from heaven upon our wings of faith and as a result will lift us up in to the higher spiritual dimension of victorious life in the spirit (1 John 5:4).

Those who will come to Jesus and experience God's rest in their lives will slowly share the yoke of Jesus which is His character of purity. For example the yoke of Jesus is to think others better than ourselves, be gentle when the other person whom we deal with is full of pride and be loving to some one even when they want to use us to fulfill their own agendas.

The yoke of Jesus is the foreordained cross that God has planned for us individually inorder to mould us in to His very own character. Jesus always says to His true disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." (Matt 16:24). God in His love towards us, wants us all to be conformed in to His character of selfless love and purity. And Jesus has demonstarted as a man that we can indeed be like God in Character if we choose to deny ourselves and follow God's will for our lives. This is truly God-life of heaven lived and demonstrated on earth for the glory of our Father in Heaven. To deny ourselves is to not walk by our good feelings of our soul and to take up our cross is to walk by the rule of unconditional love in the midst of mockery, hate and trickery. So faith works by love towards others and God in the midst of facing individually difficult circumstances (Gal 5:6). When we are doing these things, we are FOLLOWING JESUS truly and without fail we will GLORIFY GOD through our lives.

God has a custom designed cross situation of difficulty made individually for us so that we can choose to deny our mind, emotion and will voluntarily in to His hand by faith daily and be transformed in to His image for the rest of eternity ahead of us (Luke 9:23). If you really want to glorify God as His dear child, embrace the cross and reject yourself. Before you can realise, you will soon end up as a mature son or daughter of God, moulded exactly in His image and character (Rom 8:29-30).

May the wings of faith uphold you
When your cross is hard to bear,
As temptations surround you,
And no one seems to care.
May the wings of faith surround you
And shield you from the pain
When sorrows overcome you
And teardrops fall like rain.
May you know that God is with you
In times of deep despair.
May the spirit, who's within you,
Confirm that He is there!
May the valley of the shadow
Provide angels unaware...
May the wings of faith uphold you
When your cross is hard to bear.

TRUE REST IN THIS EARTHLY LIFE COMES BY DYING TO OUR SOUL LIFE AND GETTING RESURRECTED BY GOD'S LIFE OF HEAVEN.
