God instructed the Israelites through Moses to slaughter "a Lamb for a household" which should be "without blemish" (Ex 12:3, 5). In the New Testament, GOD SLAUGHTERED JESUS THE LAMB FOR US so that when we BELIEVE in THE LAMB OF GOD JESUS CHRIST (John 1:29, 36; 3:16; Isa 53:10), we and all our household will BE SAVED from sin, sickness and death (Acts 16:31).
Symbolically the Israelites took the blood of the lamb on the day of Passover and put it on the door posts and the lintel of their houses to prevent death from entering their houses, today we CONFESS OUR SINS TO JESUS and thus have THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB OF GOD PUT OVER THE DOOR OF OUR HEARTS (1 John 1:7, 9). By putting the BLOOD OF JESUS OVER OUR HEARTS, we have not only prevented the death of the devil from entering in to us, but also we have INVITED THE LIFE OF GOD TO LIVE IN US FOR ETERNITY (Rom 8:2).
Now Jesus has not only become our Passover Lamb but also the fulfillment of the Passover itself (1 Cor 5:7). Through Jesus we have been bought for a INFINITE PRICE of the LIFE BLOOD OF JESUS by God and have been freed from sin, sickness and death (Lev 17:11, 14; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Rev 5:6, 9, 12). We should MEDITATE UPON THESE THINGS AND KEEP REJOICING FOR HIS COVENANTAL PRIVILEGES AND GOD'S LIFE LIVING IN US. I pray that God might open our eyes to these wonderful TRUTHS and make us live this ABUNDANT LIFE of a REDEEMED SAINT on earth as it is in heaven (Rev 5:9; Matt 6:10).
