"There are those who speak rashly, like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." (Prov 12:18, AMP).
The Bible clearly says, "Your tongue has the power of life and death. Those who love to talk [only positive life giving words] will [themselves] eat the fruit of their words." (Prov 18:21, NIrV).
Never be reactive in your speech, but learn to speak positive life giving words of blessings, even when someone plainly speaks death to you (Matt 5:44). The result of this good choice that you have made will come upon you, as a result of it you will continue to eat the positive life-giving fruit of God's goodness, undisturbed peace and unspeakable joy. You will indeed be the true representation of your FATHER IN HEAVEN (Matt 5:45)!
In other words, positive life giving words that you speak to others, benefits you more than it does for others.
