Wish You A Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day

Once again February 14, the Valentine's day has come. What are you up to? Hmmm....The world uses this day to promote sexual promiscuity and lustful excitement for buisness promotion and ungodly lasciviousness.

But for the godly it can be used as a day of honoring, appreciating and expressing our sincere love to the person whom we are in covenant with. For example, we can show to our wife that we love her by giving her a greeting card, by verbalising what we have in our heart toward her, by taking her to a place where she likes and spending quality time with her. You can give your wife a surprise by buying something she likes and expressing your love for her in sincere words through presenting it. A simple hug will do great wonders or a kiss on the cheek, and telling her that she meant so much to you in your life. The same can be done towards one's husband...

True love is unconditional. God has given us an oppurtunity to grown in developing this true love of God through earthly relationship of covenant promise, in which commitment is the fulcrum that keeps the relationship grow in to God like unconditional love (Col 3:14). Let us learn to have, walk and grow in unconditional God-like love (1 Peter 4:8; Eph 5:2; 4:15). We should never forget that all the love that we express can truly become unconditional only when we remember God on this day to express to Him our sincere love and appreciation for what He has done through giving us His only begotten Son Jesus and thus saving us from sin, self and death for eternity ahead. Not only that, the Bible expresses that our Heavenly Father has much more in store for us by saying, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?". So remember that today being Valentine's day, let us not forget that our Heavenly Father has a lot of spritual and material surprises and gifts in store for us this coming year! He loves us too much to let us be dissapointed.

Our Heavenly Fathers says, "... Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jer 31:3). Because our Heavenly Father has already drawn us towards Himself through Jesus, it is up to us to believe Him, draw near to Him and keep ourselves in the Love of God by looking unto Jesus' mercy (James 4:8; Jude 1:21). Let us express our love towards Jesus by keeping all His commandments through the strength of His Spirit who lives in us (John 14:15; Rom 8:26). When we love Jesus, we are also loving the Father and the Father God will express His love through Jesus who reaches us through His Spirit that lives in us (John 14:21, 23, 17).

When we have God's agape unconditional heavenly love driving our relationship day after day, it is easy to express it and cement our earthly relationship deeper and deeper as time goes by. Have a wonderful Valentines day dear friends, and know that GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER smiles every time HE thinks about you, for you are truly HIS Valentine Forever. Amen!

Much Blessings,

Abraham Israel
