Persecuted For Righteousness Sake!

Cuff The Slave

Cuff was a slave. He was a joyful Christian, and a faithful servant. His master, however, was in need of money, who was an infidel, came to buy Cuff. The price was agreed upon and the Christian slave was sold to the infidel. But in parting with him the master said, "You will find Cuff a good worker and you can trust him; he will suit you in every respect but one."

"And what is that?" asked the infidel.

"He will pray, and you can’t break him of it; but that is his only fault."

"I’ll soon whip that out of him," remarked the infidel.

"I fear not," said the former master, "and would not advise you to try it; he would rather die than give it up."

Cuff proved faithful to the new master, the same as he had to the old. The master soon got word that Cuff had been praying, and on calling him said, "Cuff, you must not pray any more; we cannot have any praying around here; never let me hear anymore about this nonsense."

Cuff replied, "O Massa, I love to pray to Jesus, and when I pray, I love you and Missus all the more, and can work all the harder for you."

But he was sternly forbidden to pray anymore under penalty of a severe flogging. That evening, when the day’s work was done, he talked to his God, like Daniel of old, as he had aforetime.

Next morning he was summoned to appear before his master, who demanded of him why he had disobeyed him. "O Massa, I have to pray. I Can’t live without it," said Cuff. At this the master flew into a terrible rage and ordered Cuff to be tied to the whipping post, and had his shirt off. He then applied the rawhide with all the force he possessed, until his young wife ran out in tears and begged him to stop. The man was so infuriated that he threatened to punish her next, if she did not leave him, then continued to apply the lash until his strength was exhausted. Then he ordered the bleeding back to be washed in salt water; had the shirt on and the poor slave was made go to his work. Cuff went away singing in a groaning voice:

"My suffering time will soon be o’er, when I shall sigh and weep no more."

He worked faithfully all that day, though in much pain, as the blood oozed out from his back where the lash had made long, deep furrows.

Meanwhile, God was working on the master. He saw his wickedness and cruelty to that poor soul, whose only fault had been his fidelity, and conviction seized upon him; by night he was in great distress of mind. He went to bed but could not sleep. Such was his agony that at mid-night he awoke his wife and told her that he was dying.

"Shall I call a doctor?" she asked.

"No, no; I don’t want a doctor—is there anyone on the plantation that can pray for me? I am afraid that I am going to hell."

"I don’t know of anyone," said his wife, "Except the slave you punished this morning."

"Do you think he would pray for me?" he anxiously inquired.

"Yes I think," she replied.

"Well, send for him quickly."

On going after Cuff they found him on his knees in prayer, and when called he supposed he was to be punished again. On being taken to the master, groaning, said, "O Cuff, can you pray for me?"

"Yes, blessed , I’ve been praying for you all night," and at this dropped on his knees and, like Jacob of old, wrestles in prayer, and before the breaking of the day witnessed the conversion of both master and mistress. Master and slave embraced, race differences and past cruelty were swept away by the love of God, and tears of joy were shed.

Cuff was immediately set free. He never worked another day on the plantation. Master took Cuff and went out to preach the Gospel; they traveled all over, witnessing to the power of Christ to save to the uttermost. This is what the love of God does to a person. "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" Matthew 5:44.

Our Work Is A Place of Worship Toward God!

Serving God Through Our Work

Jesus is the Creator God who spoke all things in to existence. The Apostle Paul who daily walked with Jesus spiritually said, " 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." (Col 1:15-18).

This means that Jesus can be all things to all men. The reason all things were created through Jesus was for Him to enjoy all things. He is the intiator of all good things, including the different fields of science, commerce, technology.. and theology. In Jesus we will be able to find the reason of how all things can relate to each other and still become one. Jesus is heading a spiritual body now on earth named as the Church, in which all those who approach Him will find meaning and significance to their small life one earth. Our life have been bought back from sin and the world by Jesus and is ready to be used for higher purpose of fullfilling God's purpose on planet earth in which Jesus stands as the forerunner by having fullfilled the perfect will of God on behalf of us. Jesus will now work the will of God in us through our lives on earth for the glory of God.

Jesus is a multi-faceted personality who has something for every one who comes to him. He relates to the capacity of each person intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. I found this following writing interesting and also exemplary. No matter whether we are in full time ministry or in extra time ministry of serving professionally in the work place and also serving the Lord as a work place minister, Jesus wants to use our mouth, ears, eyes, hands and feet to touch those people who are hungry for God. Just read and enjoy what Jesus can be to each different professionals, inanimate things and to the ultimate Christian.

To the ARTIST, He is the One Altogether Lovely.

To the BANKER, He is the Hidden Treasure.

To the BIOLOGIST, He is the Life.

To the BUILDER, He is the Sure Foundation.

To the CARPENTER, He is the Door.

To the DOCTOR, He is the Great Physician.

To the EDUCATOR, He is the Great Teacher.

To the ENGINEER, He is the New and Living Way.

To the FLORIST, He is the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley.

To the GEOLOGIST, He is the Rock of Ages.

To the HORTICULTURIST, He is the True Vine.

To the SERVANT, He is the Good Master.

To the STATESMAN, He is the Desire of All Nations.

To the STUDENT, He is the Incarnate Truth.

To the THEOLOGIAN, He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

To the TOILER, He is the Giver of Rest.

To the SINNER, He is the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the World.

To the CHRISTIAN, He is the Son of the Living God, the Savior, the Redeemer and the Lord.

You can make a difference in this world, if you choose to relate to Jesus in different capacities and express it to the world which always expects something supernatural and real to make their life meaningful. God has people in the buisness arenas to be touched through the market place ministers of our generation. You don't have to be a full time minister to serve the Lord in full capacity, you can serve Him from your workplace itself in full capacity. All believers are Kingly-priests who are supposed to do the work of the ministry and fullfill their calling as a part of the Universal Church Body (Rev 1:6; 1 Peter 4:10-11). So what are you waiting for, start working by giving your body as a living sacrifice to Jesus so that He will start to use your body parts to touch someone who is in need of His love, grace and truth (Rom 12:1; John 1:17). OUR WORK IN THE SECULAR WORLD AS WELL AS WITH IN THE CHURCH IS A PART OF OUR WORSHIP TOWARD GOD THROUGH WHICH GOD UNFOLDS HIS CUSTOM DESIGNED PURPOSE FOR US IN OUR LIVES. So why not do it whole heartedly for JESUS who has given us all things to acheive great thing in our lives, which also follows us for eternity ahead. Praise the Lord!

much BLESSINGS.....

The Power of the Obedient Moment

Today Is Your Day Of Salvation!
Be Saved Today, Tomorrow May Be Too Late

Bill Fay, an evangelist who was guest speaker at the Crossroads Bible Church in Bellevue, Washington on Sunday, September 9th, returned to his home Monday, September 10.

On his American Airline flight he saw a stewardess breaking up ice with a wine bottle.

He got up from his seat and asked her if there wasn't another way she could do it more safely. He said he was afraid she would hurt herself.

She was moved that he would be so concerned.

He then gave her a gospel tract to read when she had a spare moment.

A short time later she found Bill and told him that this was the sixth gospel tract she had received from someone.

"What does God want from me?" she asked.

Bill responded, "Your life".

A few minutes later he was praying with her to accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour.

A Sudden unexpected TERROR ATTACK HAPPENS......

Fire and smoke billows from the north tower of New York's World Trade Center Tuesday Sept. 11, 2001. At 8:46 a.m., five hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Center's North Tower (1 WTC). Mounting an audacious attack against the United States, terrorists crashed another hijacked airliner into the other World Trade Center tower too and brought down the twin 110-story towers.(AP Photo/Richard Drew) AP

After September 11th's attack on the World Trade towers, Bill looked up the names of those on American Airlines Flight 11, the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center.

The stewardess' name was listed.

On Tuesday, September 11th, she entered into the eternal presence of her Lord and Savior.

No one should ever wait to get saved when God is prompting to take a decision seeing the end from the beginning. Tomorrow may be too late. As the Bible says, today is the day of salvation. If you are not saved or you still do not have the assurance of salvation, please pray the following prayer and be saved now in JESUS name.

God desires all to be SAVED from sin and death. I pray those who read the preceding story might take a decision now and be saved for eternity ahead. If you have prayed the preceding prayer, I bless you in JESUS name!

Much Blessings,

Abraham Israel

God Can Use You When You Are Available

Can He use Me?...

He used Clay to create Human Beings.

He used a Rod to divide the Red Sea.

He used a Pebble to play down a Giant.

He used a Crow to feed a Prophet.

He used 5 loaves of Bread and 2 Fishes to feed 5000 people.

He used two wooden blocks and three nails to give meaning to the life of entire mankind.

Think of the great things that Jesus can do with your life....

You are a Valuable Instrument in His Hand.

You are a Mighty One says the Lord.

"Little available things willingly placed in the Hand of God becomes mighty things that shakes the world with amazement of God's greatness." — Abraham Israel

Laugh and Be Healthy!

Laughter The Best Medicine

Proverbs 17:22 says “A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.” This shows that not only our bodies get supernaturally medicated to health when we laugh and are joyful, but if we do not do that we get a broken heart which directly dries up our bones and causes physical illhealth. This also shows that God's will for our lives is to he joyful and full of laughter all the time irrespective of our circumstances (Php 4:4). God laughs from the heavens even when He sees His enemies full of pride working against the just and gnashing against them (Psa 37:12-13; Prov 3:34). I believe that this is how God takes vacation in a instant and expects us to do so.

The differently translated beautitudes for the verse, "Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh." (Luke 6:21, b) is "Blessed Are They Who Can Laugh At Themselves for their mistakes in regret, they shall be joyful later for their perfection." Yes laughing at our own self makes us realize that we too make mistakes that we say others to not to do. By knowing our falliability we become compassionate when others do the same mistake and it will make us laugh heartily.

God designed us to laugh because it helps our bodies and our soul to get energised, refreshed and renewed. Laughter releases endorphins, which are made in the brain & spinal column. Endorphins act as analgesics (diminishing the perception of pain) and as sedatives & they effect the emotions. If you're feeling sad, stressed, or anxious, watch a comedy, laugh seeing the simple things in life, share a joke with someone you know or simply laugh for a little while as your brain will feel better..like it's been on vacation.

Die To Live

The Greatest Miracle To Experience Is In Jesus

"[Those who]... have washed their [spiritual] robes... in the blood of the Lamb [by faith]" (Rev.7:14) are the only true believers who will ever enter the Kingdom of God. If you have not still believed, what are you waiting for? Today is the day of salvation, become a saint by believing JESUS who is your Lamb! Tomorrow is in God's hand but today God has given it in your hands, we are here today to make wise decisions. So only in a fools diary tomorrow is the decision making day. Tomorrow may be too late...

The greatest truth in the world is the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel is so simple that many stumble at it (1 Peter 2:6-8). The moment we believe that Jesus is our sacrificial lamb who has been sacrificed on Calvary tree by God two thousand years ago for our sins, at that moment Jesus is substituted on the Cross for us before God spiritually. This is the place where we die in Christ Jesus.

Then as we take baptism obeying the command of the Lord (Matt 28:18-19), which symbolically makes us declare that we are no more alive to sin but alive only to God in Christ Jesus (Rom 6:11). By now as we are already dead in Christ Jesus on the Cross, we are baptized by another believer in whom Christ lives (1 Cor 1:14; Acts 9:10, 18), thus symbolizing that it is Jesus who is taking us deep in to death to our soulish life. After this declaration, it becomes a reality in our day today walk in Christ Jesus through faith. This is what Jesus conveyed to all saying, "...If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it." (Luke 9:23-24). As we give up our soulish life of self, God will continiously replace it with His powerful heavenly resurrection life which is full of abundance of peace, joy and satisfaction (John 10:10). If we try to save our earthly self life of our soul, we will lose the heavenly life of God and its enjoyment in our soul on earth and hereafter.

The real baptism is not water baptism which is a symbolic one, but the real baptism is one that the Spirit of God gives to us by immersing and sealing our spirit-man with Himself and making us part of the one universal spiritual body of Christ when we have believed Jesus Christ for the first time as our Saviour and Lord (1 Cor 12:13; 2 Cor 1:21-22; Eph 1:13-14). The good things is, when we take up our Cross by giving ourself in to the will of God for our lives, we are raised up spiritually in Jesus through God's resurrection power (1 Cor 15:22; Rom 8:10-11; Col 2:12). We are already raised up spiritually from the dead, but are also progressively raised up in our soul as we die to self daily. The life of God's resurrection power starts to surge in our soul like in the resurrected body of our Lord Jesus Christ as we suffer with Jesus in the will of God (1 Cor 15:29-31; Php 3:10-11). Here is what the Scripture says about it, "3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection." (Rom 6:3-5). Best wishes to walk in th newness of life which means living the life of supernatural joy by overcoming sin in our body, in the likeness of Jesus' resurrection body which is free from sin and death (Luke 24:39-42; Rom 6:9, 14).

BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR OF YOUR LIFE. KNOW THAT YOU ARE BAPTIZED IN JESUS CHRIST'S DEATH AND ARE THEREFORE RESURRECTED IN HIM. DIE TO SELF AND LIVE FOR GOD'S GLORY. THEN AS YOU LIVE THE SUPERNATURAL LIFE OF JESUS ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN, ENJOY TO THE FULLEST!

Wish You A Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day

Once again February 14, the Valentine's day has come. What are you up to? Hmmm....The world uses this day to promote sexual promiscuity and lustful excitement for buisness promotion and ungodly lasciviousness.

But for the godly it can be used as a day of honoring, appreciating and expressing our sincere love to the person whom we are in covenant with. For example, we can show to our wife that we love her by giving her a greeting card, by verbalising what we have in our heart toward her, by taking her to a place where she likes and spending quality time with her. You can give your wife a surprise by buying something she likes and expressing your love for her in sincere words through presenting it. A simple hug will do great wonders or a kiss on the cheek, and telling her that she meant so much to you in your life. The same can be done towards one's husband...

True love is unconditional. God has given us an oppurtunity to grown in developing this true love of God through earthly relationship of covenant promise, in which commitment is the fulcrum that keeps the relationship grow in to God like unconditional love (Col 3:14). Let us learn to have, walk and grow in unconditional God-like love (1 Peter 4:8; Eph 5:2; 4:15). We should never forget that all the love that we express can truly become unconditional only when we remember God on this day to express to Him our sincere love and appreciation for what He has done through giving us His only begotten Son Jesus and thus saving us from sin, self and death for eternity ahead. Not only that, the Bible expresses that our Heavenly Father has much more in store for us by saying, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?". So remember that today being Valentine's day, let us not forget that our Heavenly Father has a lot of spritual and material surprises and gifts in store for us this coming year! He loves us too much to let us be dissapointed.

Our Heavenly Fathers says, "... Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jer 31:3). Because our Heavenly Father has already drawn us towards Himself through Jesus, it is up to us to believe Him, draw near to Him and keep ourselves in the Love of God by looking unto Jesus' mercy (James 4:8; Jude 1:21). Let us express our love towards Jesus by keeping all His commandments through the strength of His Spirit who lives in us (John 14:15; Rom 8:26). When we love Jesus, we are also loving the Father and the Father God will express His love through Jesus who reaches us through His Spirit that lives in us (John 14:21, 23, 17).

When we have God's agape unconditional heavenly love driving our relationship day after day, it is easy to express it and cement our earthly relationship deeper and deeper as time goes by. Have a wonderful Valentines day dear friends, and know that GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER smiles every time HE thinks about you, for you are truly HIS Valentine Forever. Amen!

Much Blessings,

Abraham Israel
