Laugh and Be Healthy!
Laughter The Best Medicine
Proverbs 17:22 says “A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones.” This shows that not only our bodies get supernaturally medicated to health when we laugh and are joyful, but if we do not do that we get a broken heart which directly dries up our bones and causes physical illhealth. This also shows that God's will for our lives is to he joyful and full of laughter all the time irrespective of our circumstances (Php 4:4). God laughs from the heavens even when He sees His enemies full of pride working against the just and gnashing against them (Psa 37:12-13; Prov 3:34). I believe that this is how God takes vacation in a instant and expects us to do so.
The differently translated beautitudes for the verse, "Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh." (Luke 6:21, b) is "Blessed Are They Who Can Laugh At Themselves for their mistakes in regret, they shall be joyful later for their perfection." Yes laughing at our own self makes us realize that we too make mistakes that we say others to not to do. By knowing our falliability we become compassionate when others do the same mistake and it will make us laugh heartily.
God designed us to laugh because it helps our bodies and our soul to get energised, refreshed and renewed. Laughter releases endorphins, which are made in the brain & spinal column. Endorphins act as analgesics (diminishing the perception of pain) and as sedatives & they effect the emotions. If you're feeling sad, stressed, or anxious, watch a comedy, laugh seeing the simple things in life, share a joke with someone you know or simply laugh for a little while as your brain will feel better..like it's been on vacation.
