Shield of Faith Keeps You Blessed

Let Faith Answer Your Fear

The Bible says that faith is spiritual shield with which you will be able to quench all the fiery missiles of the Devil and his wicked demons (Eph 6:16). Above all other spiritual weapons, spiritual warrior apostle Paul advised all believers to start using this shield of faith.

Let us dig in and see why such a spiritually mature man like apostle Paul advises the believers to use the shield of faith against the spiritual foes of our soul. What is faith? Faith is the spiritual ability to hear the word of God and understand the voice of God speaking through it in to our everyday situation (Rom 10:17).

The word of God carries power to defeat the power of the lies of the enemy (Heb 4:12). The devil and his demonic minions have no power except the power of the lies which saps the spiritual power of God out of our heart and brings confusion in to our soul. The devil has a great resources of lies which he always uses as a missle to cancel the power of God which lies in standing in the truth of God. Even man made traditions has been conceived under the influence of religious spirits which were sent to nullify the power of the truth (Mark 7:13). Jesus Himself called the devil a liar and the father of it (John 8:44).

The cure for doubt and unbelief is faith in the word of God. When we receive the word of God and store it in our spirit-man through the help of the Holy Spirit (Heb 10:15-16), the Spirit of God will use it as a sheild of faith and will also use the same word also as a sword to attack the devil through our confession of the word of God through our mouth in to the problematic situations we face daily (Eph 6:17). Sheild of faith is used to win the internal spiritual war inside our mind. When we face unbelief through some one externally whom the devil uses to speak to us, we use the sword of the Spirit to oppose and destroy the unbelief spoken against us. The shield of faith is a spiritual thought of God that keep our minds in the blessedness of God by destroying the lies of the enemy and unbelief of the devil that tries to creep in to our mind, the sword of the word is the spoken word of God that keeps the devil out of the area where we are present.

For example, a bird can fly over our head and we cannot do anything about it. But it is our fault if we allow that bird to build a nest upon our head. In the same way, doubts coming in to our mind is a natural thing because of our inherent sin nature with which we are born. But if we do not know the word of God to ward off the doubts and unbelief that comes from within us (Mark 7:21-23), it is our problem that we have developed because of our spiritual laziness. Once we are lazy, Satan will build a nest of lies in our head to sit and mislead us in to confusion, fear and spiritual inactivity which results in atrophy. Using the sword of the Spirit is like giving a bird scare to the devil even before he could come in to our mind.

Faith is a spiritual thinking that we develop in our mind that acts as a sheild and wards off the unbelief of the thinking of the world and the voice of Satan automatically. THE MORE WE THINK BASED ON THE WORD OF GOD, THE LESSER THE DEVIL WILL HAVE SPACE TO PROMOTE HIS LIES WHICH PRODUCES UNBELIEF TO SETTLE IN OUR MIND.

Depression is a hopeless thinking of unbelief, fear is the result of such hopeless thinking. When we discipline ourselves to hear more and more of the word of God, these depressive curses of the evil one will flee from us. Faith rejoices and sings of the victory over evil depression even before the light of God dawns in our soul. Living by faith makes us progressively swim in to the deeper spiritual zone of rejoicing in the Lord (Php 4:4). Faith thinking helps us replace the thoughts of unbelief, half truths and lies with the truth of the word of God which brings the joy of heaven continiously in to our soul irrespective of our circumstances.

From today take a strong resolution to live by faith and be a righteous person in the sight of God (Heb 10:38). IF WE DESIRE AND CHOOSE TO LIVE BY FAITH, GOD HIMSELF WILL BECOME PLEASED TO BECOME OUR SHIELD OF DEFENSE AGAINST SATAN AND HIS DEMONIC COHORTS THAT WORKS AGAINST US TO DESTROY OUR GOOD LIFE WITH GOD (PSA 84:11).
